Studying Spells

All I've been drawing digitally for the last few months is Pokemon this or Pokemon that. And they're doodles at best. It was time for me to do some real art!

But instead I made this -.-||| Well, I think it's okay. I really want to work on my anatomy skills a lot more, and I could use some practice with shading. But for not really do any art like this for a few months, I think I did well on it. I also wanted to work on color theory a bit more. Instead of just picking random colors and slapping them on, I wanted to pick colors that looked good together, and then I wanted the background color to make the foreground color stand out while looking natural at the same time. I kinda like it.

This picture took me about....15 hours to draw. On and off for 2 days of course -w-
